GOAL
Create an app concept that would showcase the idea of financial education mixed with financial investment.

AUDIENCE
Young adults, 18-30

SOLUTION
After many months of the targeted research on audience’s needs, I was able to create a successful concept of how the app would work and educate the user. With appropriate forms, color, and type, the logo exudes a sense of security and simplicity.

USP
Future Lock stands up to the
competition by combining the budgeting ideas of Mint, and stock investing ideas of apps like RobinHood by focusing on education, with a specialization in financial literacy.

POSITIONING STATEMENT
Future Lock is an app that is meant to guide the users into financial security before age 30, and if nothing else, develop a strong grasp of financial literacy. Future Lock teaches the user that the number one financial asset you have, is YOU! Just lay the road map for the future, and follow that path to understand your needs. Future Lock is going to be beginner friendly, and will of course walk its users through the basics first. The goal is to take its user on a journey from first sign on into having a good understanding of their financial situation, along with what they can do to make their future brighter, and more secure.

BRAND STORY
Future Lock was born from the lack of strong financial education in public school systems. Too many people leave high school, go to college or into the work force without learning foundational financial literacy. Future lock set out to help people who desire to have a grasp over their finances. They want to learn how to budget, track their money, and learn how to spend and invest their money efficiently.
